It’s all about the Christmas spirit!
I’m so excited!
Christmas is so near! There won’t be many gifts this year, but that’s not important. It’s all about that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you step outside into the biting cold, and you realize that it could start snowing any moment, or when you go to the supermarket and you get to that section where you see all kinds of Christmas decorations of all possible & impossible shapes & colors, and artificial Christmas trees already decorated, reminding you that the most important holiday of the year is right around the corner. At that point, you forget, even for 2 seconds, about all your problems, your lack of money and/or time and all the shit that’s happened to you these past 11 months.
Well… The 2 seconds are up so enough babbling about Christmas which is still over a month away! A lot can happen during this remaining time…
I have to prepare for competitions and contests and at the same time study English and French, and then more English and more French, preparing for the admission exams next summer, cause I really want to get into that damned Foreign Language & Literature university and study English and Japanese at a high level.
Wish me luck and let me be the first to wish you a very Merry Christmas! cause I don’t know when I’ll be seeing you again

Hufflepuff recommends…
Those who know me know that throughout these past six months I’ve developed a real obsession for Japan, the Japanese culture, the language and, of course, the Japanese boys/men (who are definitely not short!). And because of my hormones, but also my curiosity, I’ve managed to watch many, many jdramas (and animes, but I don’t wanna get into that right now) and I’ve really grown to like this part of their culture, because every jdrama (which is usually 9 to 12 episodes long) approaches themes that appeal to everyone and tries to convey a certain message and even teach us valuable lessons (although I’ve yet to discover that in Honey & Clover or Kurosagi
)
But among all the dramas, there was one that surpasses them all. And the title? 1Litre Of Tears (Original Title: Ichi Rittoru no Namida)
“1 Litre of Tears is a Japanese television drama for Fuji Television about a girl who was diagnosed with an incurable degenerative disease at 15, but was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25.
The drama is an adaptation of the diary of a Japanese girl named Aya Kitō, who suffered from spinocerebellar ataxia. She began keeping a diary at the suggestion of her doctor, and continued to write until she could no longer hold a pen. The diary, titled 1 Litre no Namida, was published shortly after her death.” (wikipedia)
It’s definitely a must see, for everyone. It’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry (a lot), it’ll teach you that life is the most precious gift you’ll ever receive. Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
“People who can live should live on no matter what. No matter what happens, no matter how painful it is.”
“Try putting your hands against your chest. Dokidoki, dokidoki, you’ll hear that sound.
My heart is beating.
I’m happy.
I am living.”
